When we think of beauty, the first things that come to mind are the external and apparent stuff. A clean home, organized and smelling like it has been touched by a fragrance maker can be as soul-filling as spending time at the seashore immersing ourselves in the aquatic scents.
When we dig a little deeper, we are also comforted by the inner beauty that is displayed through our interactions. The beauty where we invite through our smiles, our humbleness, our welcoming attitudes, our generosity and our meticulously chosen words of kindness. The mercy we display in our empathy and compassion for all that is around us is a true measure of our inner beauty.

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud RAsaid that the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “No one will enter Paradise who has an atom’s weight of pride in his heart.” A man said, “What if a man likes his clothes to look good and his shoes to look good?” He said, “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people.” Reported by Muslim
